The Wake of Mount Agung

Bali, one of the most beautiful tourist spots in Indonesia has been affected by the eruption of Mount Agung. Due to the eruption of the volcano, all flights coming in and going out from Bali has been delayed. The Ngurah Air Airport (Denpasar) has been closed for the past two days which lead passengers to be stranded in Bali. There are approximately around 59,000 tourists that are stranded in Bali. They have been offered to leave by land or sea, or extend their stay in Bali by being offered a room discount. 100,000 people who lives within 10 km of the area has been told to evacuate the area but only 40,000 has done so.
According to news.com, Mount Agung erupted in 1963 and produced deadly clouds of searing hot ash, gases and rock fragments that travelled down its slopes at great speed. It concluded to a deadly result of losing 1,600 people.
As of right now, the volcano is still erupting and it is proved to be more violent than before. The volcano alert has been raised to 4 - the highest possible warning. Now, as giant clouds of volcanic ash continue to rise high above the trembling volcano, experts say a larger, explosive eruption could happen at any minute.
